When participating in a Weight Loss Program, exercise should be part of the routine. This is needed to burn calories, which can speed up the process because one must burn 3,500 calories to lose one pound of fat. The person must also eat healthy, low calorie foods in conjunction with this to keep the calorie-count down.
How much we weigh is determined by a formula of how much we eat, minus what the body burns off. This is measured in calories. Research has shown that a healthy diet, coupled with regular Workouts is the best, natural way to reach these goals.
In addition to weight loss, exercise also can decrease the risk of getting diseases or other ailments, such as heart disease and stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes, back pain and osteoporosis. Another benefit of regular physical activity is that it can improve moods and the way people feel about themselves. It also can reduce anxiety and depression, and is helpful in managing stress.
When aiming for weight loss, there are many different types of exercise to try. Some examples include sports, household chores, routines such as aerobics or yoga and Pilates. But all of these types are beneficial because they burn calories, which is what needs to be done in order to drop a dress or pant size. Studies have shown that very inactive people can even benefit if they give up 30 minutes each day to devote to physical activity. Starting with sensible goals and gradually building upon that is the best way to get the job done.

I am trying to Lose Weight and tone up. I just don't want to gain mass because I am doing Weight Training and cardio. I know that I need to do both but how many reps vs weight? Thats the kind of info I need.
