Proper weight lifting diet?
I just need to know if this is a good weight lifting diet. I usually work out 3-4 times a week. If it isn't then what would be a good one?
Before I go to the gym I make 6-8 eggs, 2-3 servings of rice, and maybe a sub for energy.
When I get back from the gym I usually eat 1-2 servings of rice, a piece of chicken and sometimes beans for nutrients.
I hate sea food otherwise i'd just eat tuna. Also I try to eat a lot of fruits and veggies but there aren't to many veggies in my house.
Should I change it up or am I good? My end of the year goal is to weigh in at 170. (I weigh 150 right now.) It may seem like I am eating a lot of eggs and beans for protein but i'm not. I already know that 15-20g of protein is all you need. My brother who has been weight lifting since he was in highschool said that eggs and rice are good to eat.
Are you saying 15-20g of protein is needed for one day? You are going to be needing a lot more then that if you want to put on some quality mass. Eat more meat. Is what you listed the amount of food you eat in a day because that is not going to cut it. You have the right idea, you just need to eat more, a lot more!
