Wanting to enlist in USMC after college..?

My little sister just graduated from Parris Island March 6, and I couldnt be more inspired or proud.

I talked with all the recruiters after high school, but it just wasnt for me at that time. But seeing my sister now, I realize that this is something I would LOVE to do. I can't stop watching youtube videos of boot camp, marines, etc =)

I am about 2 quarters away from a BA in Communications, and have talked to OSO's and other Officers and enlisted recruiters about my options. I really like the idea of enlisting and then doing th ECP program to go to OCS. (P.S. I am a female)

The impression I get though from the officers is that I'd be wasting my time with enlisted. What do you think?

Also, what kinds of jobs are there for Marine Officers when they get out of the Corps? I wouldn't want to come out 4 (or more) years "behind" people who have been working in the corporate world while I was serving...you know?

If you plan on enlisting first, more kudos to you. But if you have that BA, might as well commission into the Marine Corps. But I respect people who are enlisting instead of commissioning.
