are the rockband drums the same as the real ones?

hey guys, so i just switched countries so i had to sell my old drum kit. Now i am thinking of getting the Rockband drum kit. I know it of COURSE does not feel like the real thing but at least i can get some rhythm when i do my hand Exercises and get some rolls in. Tired of my practice pads.

I have been watching some rockband drum videos online and how the game works. I was wondering if i can fill in beats or rolls or an offbeat to rack up points or do i haveto be exactly the same as the color's flashing?

And if i can move around the colors on my kit to personalize my style and position.

In rock band, they don't require any rolls. Though there will be rhythms where it's fast enough to be 16th notes (or something faster).

During offbeat section, it's free-for-all. You can hit anywhere anytime, though it won't rack up points. It's just a setting up area to start star power. Which you have to hit the last green note of the offbeat area. (the green note appears when you hit a few notes during the offbeat area)

You cannot change the positions/colors of the drums. The 4 colors set that way. The only thing you can do is change the height. You CAN decorate them though to your liking though. xDD

The Rock Band drum set is pretty much a watered down version of the real thing. It's not perfect, but it's still fun to play with the game.
