Most of the time the class will run through basic calisthenics such as bends, leg squats and thrusts, jumping jacks and so on. This means you move from one type of exercise to the next without rest periods in between, this is why it's a total body workout.

How is the U.S. Military?

Hi, I would like to know how it is? What is the easiest branch overall?I also would like to know what/how the:

-Pay
-People
-Boot Camp
-Instructors
-Travels
-Vacations
-Showers
-Campus
-Food + Housing.. (privacy)
-(any women?) and what if someone drops the soap?(lol)
-Basically all there is to know... and please, tell the honest truth. : )

I'm going to go in order of what you asked. I've been in the
military for 12 years as an Officer in the US Navy S.F

-Pay - If you're enlisted its kind of shitty about 1300 a month. But don't forget you don't have to pay for housing, food, clothing ect. Adds up. If you've taken JROTC you will be an E-3 in the Navy and E-2 elsewhere...you will be making abut 1500 - 1600 a month. You get promoted based on merit and knowledge every 2 - 4 years depending on how far up you are. If you go overseas, you will get sea pay, or if you go for training you'll get a bit more money.

-People: You get to meet a lot of people in the military. And you grow fond of them as well. You work and live with these people. They're from all over the US, different people, different cultures, a great band of family. You grow to love them, soon enough you'll be living at their house!

-Boot Camp: Depending on which branch you go in. Just make sure you know the gists of the military. I.E Chain of command, Orders to the sentry, and general knowledge of the miltary. Make sure you're in shape and can run 1.5 mile without worry, push ups at least 30, and sit ups at least 50 in 2 minutes each. Don't be a smart ass, do as your told, they yell and scream at you because they care, and they are in charge of your wellbeing once you leave.

-Instructors: Drill Instructors ( DI ) are people you don't want to mess with. They've been trained to cure your ass of "civilianism". They're cruel and mean for a reason, you'll thank them one day for everything they put you through. When you go to professional school, its a bit easier and a little more relaxing...A LITTLE>

-Travels: You get to travel the world basically...its a 1 year - 3 years at any base...and you can transfer based on MERIT. So don't screw up.

-Vacations: 30 days paid leave each year.

-Showers: Need I answer? Not a third world thing here.

-Campus: Pretty decent from the Marine and Navy ones I've been to.

-Food + Housing.. (privacy): You'll be living in quarters till you make E - 3 in the Navy or at least 2 years in. You'll be sharing...so not a lot of privacy...but once you've earned your rights to live off base or in housing...it gets better. You earn EVERYTHING.

There isn't any "easy" branch. Each branch has its own specifications. Just choose what is best for you.
