Navy Boot Camp Workout regiment?
i am going to go to the navy next year around the fall and was wondering a good workout to get into good shape. i know i have to run 1.5 miles in like 14.5 min or something similar and do a certain number of push ups and sit ups. i am currently taking alli for weight loss. i need a good workout regiment to get prepared.
when I went to Navy Boot Camp we ran in a group up to 6 miles in a day. The other person was right about the 1.5, thats only in your semiannual prt, but in boot camp they run you until you feel like your legs are gonna fall off. Look, do as many push ups as you can twice a day until you can do it 3 times a day, then 4. Same with the situps. If you are comfortable running up to 4 miles a day then you should be ok. Do more, prepare for more, so that if you do less, at least youre not underprepared. Can you do pull ups? Try to do some of that, also one of the toughest exercises is this:
Lay on your back and put your hands under your butt( Im not joking ) and make your legs kick. Then see how long you can hold your feet ( legs straight out ) 4 inches above the ground without touching the ground. This is called crunches or flipper. We saw this often during our bootcamp, tough on the legs and abs, but great for your abs! Good luck
