Strength Exercises for a woman who want to become a firefighter?
what i can do to get back in to shape to gain strength to become a firefighter.
You need to do Weight-bearing (and cardio) exercises until your strength and stamina is similar to that of a fit male your size. In all likelihood, your lower body will get there quickly, but your upper body will take a lot more work.
Go to a gym and get a trainer. (Some offer a one-time freebie with a trainer.) Explain your goals and find out exactly what equipment to use and how. You'll probably want to concentrate on shoulders, arms, back, chest, and the abdominal core. Use weight-Training equipment (Cybex, Nautilus, whatever) and Free Weights.
