Volleyball Camps vs Personal Training?
Being the supportive parent I am, I am willing to spend a little money this summer to help my daughter her achieve her goal of being a varsity setter. She is a decent setter, although she is not being challenged on her JO team (even after talking to her coaches). What do you think would be a better option: A 3 day volleyball camp or a 6 week personal training program? The training program would give her more energy and Strength, but won't really be focused on volleyball. The camp might help her with her skills, but I am afraid that she might not be challenged in a basic camp with tons of other setters.
Which would you choose?
I think if it is a setter camp and you think her skills need more improvement than her Physical Fitness you should send her to the camp. But if her skills as a setter are solid and she could benefit from increased speed, endurance and strength send her through the personal training program. If it is personalized make sure they work on her jumping ability and her arm and hand strength.
